Shortlist of candidates....................

Allegedly.

According to Sky sports Italy news Leeds have drawn up a shortlist of 4 managers they will be talking to regarding the vacant Managers/Coaches role.

They’re in contact with Matias Almeyda, Marcelo Bielsa, Steve Bruce; and Claudio Ranieri.

Two new names appearing, what are everyones thoughts.

5* Almeyda
4* Bielsa
3* Bruce
2* Ranieri
1* Any other preferences.

He won't want another bad job on his cv surely. That would be three jobs in a row that were poor.

I'm really excited that he's up for the challenge.

Intrigued to see how/if he can improve some of our lot.

My best mates a wolves fan, he was saying to me last night amazing what a good coach can do to players like Connor coady for example has been awesome this year.

Put some better players in this team, let him work with Ronnie and co and see what we can get out of them.

Rather he was coaching them than some championship journeyman

Rich, could be an indication we plan on spending big and bringing lots of players in from overseas, Portugal, Spain, Argentina.

If it happens, great. We have to spend big either way this summer.

If we want big losses this year we can have them without FFP issues. This is the year to have a go.

We need to spend 30m. If not, we’re out the race for autos. Some serious work needed and a talented manager too. Let’s hope Bielsa has it as it looks like he’s our next coach.

People really must not follow football or do research if they think Bielsa has been crap for his last 4 jobs.

It's got nothing to do with what Pep said, although I'll take his and Pep and Poch's words over people on message boards who haven't a clue

When you say they haven’t a clue, I’ll second that and say they haven’t a fooking clue big time. Some actually had never heard of him, yet he writes the coaching manuals that top coaches refer to and try to implement his methods.

As Rich said above, he left Lazio after 2 days because they went back on promises and gave him no money and Lille had been on a serious decline for years before he got there.

He did a great job at both Bilbao and Marseille until they sold all their best players from under him.

And yes it could be a disaster, but so could any manager we appoint!

Bielsa is a coach we don't really have any business appointing right now so I don't see how anyone can complain....at all.

We’ve gambled before with inexperience eg TC, PH so now a gamble at the opposite end of the spectrum. If it works it could transform us. If it doesn’t then we’re back at square one. Again.

I have a renewed sense of optimism now, particularly with the 49ers deal and the Bielsa speculation.
