Apologies if this one has been done, but I’ve hardly been on the past
few months.
By some cruel twist of fate, Kenny Dalglish was at the tragedies of Ibrox
in ‘71, Heysel in ’85, and Hillsborough in ’89.
Enough cursed luck there for 3 people.
I watched the film ‘Kenny’ on BBC iPlayer during the night there.
Excellent viewing – obviously emotive and emotional at times but funny
as well.
It shows both the guy’s humanity as well as strength of will.
Attending every one of the 96’s funerals clearly took its toll on his
emotional health.
It’s on for another 8 days.

Might have a look.
Heard stories from rangers players going to all the funerals. Very tough

Attended all 3 disasters... you are not implying that he has had something to do with them are you?

Kenny and his wife Marina went to 4 funerals in one day. Every respect to them for all they did.

The award was long overdue and there's no doubt a sort of sporting snobbery involved in the delay. Botham was knighted years ago , Murray at the age of 31, Piggott again when relatively young but Dalglish has to wait til he's 67 ...years after his noble efforts .
