Was wondering if you still posted, hope you do it.

I think what pisssed me off most was how this Croatia team for the second half onwards seemed to have more energy about them despite the more minutes that they played, while we looked knackered and couldn't create any sort of chance when we needed to.

We were everywhere defending first half, closing down everything in our third. Knew that would eventually tire us out.

It's called ball retention.

Teams no matter what wear out when they have to go looking for it being passed around than in the air.

Yeah he basically said that the English media were wrong two under-rate Croatia and that reading all the commentary that they were going to be really tired spurred them on.

Just saw Modric's post match comments, hit the nail on the head. The journalists and pundits in England are an absolute joke. By all means, get behind your team, but don't go on public TV with millions of viewers and laugh off the prospect of facing Croatia, a team with more decorated individuals than your own. Rio Ferdinand was particularly arrogant

Igor, thanks mate, i still read the forum but rarely post. What better time to get back on it when my country qualifies for the W facking C final Unbelievable achievement for our little country

To be fair, there wasn't that much in the possession stats. We still had a fair share of the ball overall, which became less as the game went on. Still, can't believe they looked as energetic as they did compared with us. Was ridiculous how they were able to press us as much as they did in the last half of ET.

England's midfield is very, very poor. Yes I know Kane has not played that well, but the lack of service to him from the midfield was abysmal. Hence he was having to play so deep for most of the knockout stages.

Kane is England's best player in reality, a top, top striker, and England just never played to his strengths.

This team is a surprise to me!
Can they beat France?
I don't think so.
But there are some factors in their favor, including no injuries.
They are an old team, age wise, where as the French are one of the youngest teams in this WC.
Edge to France on this one.
