Yes, it is another one of those articles again!
What do you think is our best Spurs 11? And how do you think we'll fair against the other teams.
I think that a couple of our lads will have matured over the last season and World cup however fatigue may creep in.
For me a 3-5-2 is on the cards with the below:
-------------------------------- Lloris --------------------------------
----------- Alderweireld --- Sanchez --- Vertongen -----------
Trippier------------Dier------------------Dembele---------- Rose
-------------Ericsson----------------------------Alli------------------
-----------------------------------Kane---------------------------------
What is our best 11?

I've no idea whether Rose, Wanyama, Son, Moura or Dembele are any good these days and Toby will probably be gone so good luck to those who attempt this.

We need an excellent passer in our midfield. Someone that can dictate the tempo and pick out runs.
Dier and Wanyama are defensive. Dembele is great at retaining possession but isn't a deep-lying playmaker. Winks is not ready yet.
Modric even at his age would walk into our team and exactly what we need. We can't think about the distant future with every signing and hope all the puzzles fit.
Arsenal tried it and their players ended up leaving because they refused to spend that little extra to push them over the line.
We are in danger of doing the same.

i don't disagree with this but pretty sad when our best 11 contains the following.... an unproven head case at right back, a CB in dispute with the club and pochettino, a CM who's coming back from a LT injury, another CM who's legs looks to have gone and openly admits the pace of the prem is too much for him and an AM who's gonna be away for a month at the asian games where depending on the outcome we could lose him for 2 years to national service..... and people wonder why i'm concerned !!!!

I would now have Winks ahead of Dembele. He proved he is more than capable in the CL last season.
After the world cup the message to clubs really should be to think twice about putting players ahead of English youngsters who have proven themselves to be just as good or better than standard squad players.
