If (big if) we get past Rosenberg & AEK

We've got a lot to do but I think it's good to see the full picture-

Looking at the seedings/draw and status after last night, we would be likely to draw one of these four in the play off-

Malmö (forecast)
Red Star Belgrade (forecast)
Bate Borisov (forecast)
Young Boys Berne (guaranteed)

It's 4 ties at that stage we are guaranteed to be a seed if we get through and these are the predicted non seeds.

Tough, particularly Malmo and Belgrade.

Thoughts?

I didn't see anyone thinking about the co-efficient when they were laughing at Rangers going into the bottom tier, which obviously gonna flcuk up the co-efficient.

It also affected it with a sheiyte tv deal and lesser money for the smaller clubs.

No point moaning about 4 qualifiers now. You reap what you sow.

Rangers got themselves liquidated

Even with it doesn’t change the fact that this should have been seen coming

Celtic were left carrying the coefficient themselves and before the last couple seasons didn’t exactly do great themselves

Does any know what is required for us to get to the coefficient status of young boys, IE getting entry at the 4th round of qualifiers, and also getting a club to automatically qualify for the champions league group stages?

For instance, if Celtic keep qualifying for the group stages only, but never qualify for the knockout stages. And if rangers qualified for Europa group stages and also did not qualify for group stages. And all other teams such as Aberdeen and Hibs etc continue to do bad and don't even get to group stages, would there be much improvement in our co efficient and see us play less qualifiers?

Scotland at all costs has to get back to the point where at least 2 x clubs can make the champions league group stages. Look at the country's like Switzerland that are ahead of us. Clearly our game in Scotland is not being run properly.

More nonsense about rangers.

So you shouldn't have been 'relegated' because of the possible damage to the co-efficient now? Absolute tosh.

It took you a year longer to get back and then you got pumped out by Progres.

Highly unlikely you would have earned a pile of co-efficient points in the meantime.

The flaw isn’t in clubs not adding to the coefficient ffs there were years when Celtic contributed the square root of fook all
The flaw is the corrupt system clearly designed to ensure the “bigger” countries always fill the top places

Exactly

Mentioned last year that some of the clubs in those countries start, ie before they play a game, with more points than our teams earn in a season. Rigged, doesn`t even cover it

Fair play to Hibs, Aberdeen and 'Rangers' some good coefficient boosting results there. Lots to do in second legs of course.

Ludogerets being knocked out means we will no longer have a chance of facing Croatia Zagreb and instead it's likely to be Malmö.

Ludogerets and Basle bring eliminated moves us two spots closer to pot 3 if we are able to qualify. Would still need the likes of PSV and Benfica to fail to get through the play off.

Can't see us getting past Athens. They are a good side

Yeah unless we improve dramatically and get a fit defence we're likely to crash out.
