What Rangers lack in skill they make up with grit and physical drive. They won their qualifier on aggregate and add to the Scottish coefficient so allβs good.
Well done Hibs too for the same reasons. Shame the sheep lost out though.
I think Celtic will add one or two more players to our squad before the transfer window closes. McGinn might be needed to play in the Ramgers games π
Well done Rangers

We can't be showing much grit and physical drive then.

Celtic will add to their squad IF they qualify for CL or perhaps even EL. I can see it happening if we don't.
Great news for Rangers last night. Progres Neiderkorn beat Budapest Honved to go through to the next qualifying round. This means that Rangers are no longer the best team to be pumped out of Europe by Progres. It must be a great feeling to get that monkey off their back.

Sky sources understand Brighton and Hibernian have held talks regarding midfielder John McGinn
so maybe he wont be going to Celtic

A stronger Rangers, Aberdeen and Hibs is good for your league. It means more competition and more income from tv money if you do the next tv deal.

Heed - I am starting to wonder if our targets or lack of them, is a sign that the club don't expect to make the champions league groups. McGinn being a classic example of that as I believe he will no doubt be good enough for our league but not what you could class as a possible signing for CL games.
If we sneak through this 50/50 round against AEK then then we might get an indication of the boards intent by who they attempt to sign.

It’s a delicate balancing act. We need European football, preferably CL, to attract the right calibre of player but we are not guaranteed to get there. The transfer targets are not likely to come until our European future is known.
