I want the old Arsene back

I desperately want the old Arsene Wenger back:

The one who came out of virtually nowhere, and changed our club from a mid-table team that could hardly string two or three passes together (which was voted one of the most hated teams in football according to a FFT poll), to one of the best teams in Europe whilst playing breath-taking football (2004).

The one who everyone initially thought was an idiot for selling Paul Merson, only for that to free up Bergkamp, and we all know good he turned out to be as a result.

The one who replaced a good forward in Ian Wright, with a very good one in Anelka, for him to be replaced with an Incredible one, Thierry Henry

The one who would build sides from a solid defence

The one who managed to get his side unbeaten in a season, whilst only spending around a tenth of what his closest challenger (Chelsea) spent during the 2003 summer.

The one who recognized that Vieira was past it, and replaced him with an unheard of Fabregas, who became one of the best playmakers in the world, if not, the best.

The one whose success at this club and style of football, managed to get this club to move to one of the finest stadiums in the planet.

Now I'm not saying this 'new' Arsene Wenger is bad, he is very good actually and definately doesn't get the full backing of the board IMO. I Don't want him out, but the only exception would be if we manage to replace him with the old Arsene Wenger.

Arsene came into the club in the same state as he will leave it in.

Wright was a great foward..185 goals and could of had more if it weren't for his injuries.

We've started the building process again. The good days will return

Right. If we're gonna do this we're gonna need some glasses, some unfashionable suits and some Just For Men.

He is overly criticised, he is involved with the club more than most other managers are but not everything that goes wrong with our club is completely his fault.

Hopefully, need a bit more confidence especially in defence. I am sure a confident song would never have done that...I think Koscielny's was more down to bad luck

Hello My Name Is Vermaelen (U3896)

I agree with you there eg surely it is down to the coaching staff as well as to why we were so poor at set pieces.
I just wish Wenger would return back to his former self at times--> It was so effective.

I want David Dein back he was responsible for bringing Wenger into the club and was very effective with bringing in great players. If he comes back Wenger will be back to his best hopefully.
