It's a very long season.

It's been a fantastic start for us this season, but we have a long way to go before we can dream of winning this league.

Players cannot play this type of football week in, week out, surely they will tire well before the season gets to it's final matches.

Or will they. It was interesting listening to the commentators and pundits during and after the game, when they mentioned several times how the Leeds players were able to take rests while the game was still progressing, so as not to run themselves ragged. It's an interesting point, and when you look at the world's best marathon runners, they do something similar during races, yet to the untrained onlooker you would never know it.

Also, last season Wolves who took the Championship by storm, used a nucleus of only 15 players in over 90% of their matches. Some players had to be dropped either through injury or suspension, but Nuno Espirito Santo stuck with his favoured team for nearly all the season, and they played a similar style that we are just learning.

When we get it 100% right, the players will find even more time to recover during games, and the opposition will tire quicker because they will be chasing shadows. It's so much harder physically and more importantly, mentally tiring, when the opposition are superior in every department. And, the opposite works for the team controlling the game. Players may be tired but their mental ability and agility will push them on, even when their legs are straining and burning.

Will we continue in this way for the season? Probably not, but we will have the right attitude to overcome a bad result. Something not possible previously.

Will we get promoted? I think we will.

Will Bielsa stay? Yes, I believe he will because he has found a group players and a Board who have very quickly bought into his way of thinking, and are loving it. Players with big smiles on their faces before, during and after the game. That was what the great teams of Leeds United did.

Here's to the next great Leeds team.

Do Barcelona falter and run out of steam?

We looked tired near end but damage was already done by then.

Don’t want to get too carried away but the performances are thoroughly convincing.

I think they did..... However, as others have said, Derby County was out for the count at that stage.

Lampard has been a good servant to football and I wish him well in his managerial career, one that got away when he signed for Chelsea, but he was not very gracious in defeat.

The point was we never let Derby play the game they wanted.

Its why he’s given different subs a run, like Shackleton & Baker. Over the course of the season these guys will be needed .....

Ayling - how far has he sprinted so far this season?

What about Saiz? He's like a spring lamb! He's proving to be the heartbeat of the team.

We’ve been in the championship far far too long to think this is a done deal. Course we’ll struggle at some
Points and agree this level of intensity will be lowered at certain points. Gotta be realistic. The performances have been dream like so far against 2 good sides. Although personally don’t think derby will be in
The top 6

The most heartening thing for me is the players on the bench.

I look at that and think we can definitely make top 6, anything on top of that is dreamland 👍

Actually you make a valid point here. I don't think that this is our strongest 11 and with others, on the bench or in physio, yet to reach Bielsa levels of fitness, we could get yet more stronger.

One can only imagine what we'll do to the weaker teams.....

Probably lose now I've said it

My only regret about yesterday's match against Derby is that Vydra wasn't in their team to personally experience what he snubbed in the close season.

It would have been perfect poetic justice.

Greedy bar steward. Don't need him, that's justice enough for me.

The whole Bielsa teams tiring is a bit of a myth. It happened in 1 season with Marseille but they still had their highest finish in a decade.
