Haven't been able to post here for a bit because my phone having some spam issues. Think I finally got it fixed. So last few weeks I decided to look on Facebook for any Celtic related pages. Found "The Celticblog" and it seemed like a good page to follow.
Noticed though that there was a lot of let's just say profanity and sectarian nonsense on there that I wasn't in love with. I'm not into all that stuff. Posted a few articles that some people considered negative about the recent troubles in the last week with the team. Fine.
But I posted an article today stating that Rangers would win the league if we didn't get our act together. Noticed how I said "if. But i had the audacity to put that first sentence in capital letters and the amount of abuse i got for it was unbelievable.
I was called a h*n, a c**nt, to f**k off, and even worse a Rangers supporter in disguise 🤣
All joking aside I was then called a racist name and I was taken aback. I couldn't believe it. To their credit the admin said it was out of order and removed the person from the page. It took a few minutes though for the actual comment to disappear.
For the record, for those of you that remember, I have Indian parents, born in London, but i was raised in Glasgow in Cambuslang on the South side. I'm proud to be Scottish and I love being a Scot over here supporting Celtic in America.
But all afternoon I nearly had tears in my eyes. I know Celtic supporters are way better than that and it's only a tiny tiny minority that would do such a thing. When I lived in Glasgow I went to several Celtic games, even at ibrox and never had a problem, but today was my first time experiencing something like this online.
What made it worse my article caused so much controversy and out of maybe a hundred comments, the admin and maybe 5 or 6 people said the guy was out of order. One guy even said I was like Shay Logan playing the race card FFS.
It even got to the point where they didn't believe I was a Celtic supporter and I posted a picture of myself and my kids with me wearing one of my many Celtic tops. I wish I hadn't posted it because I shouldn't have to justify myself.
Anyway, I thanked those that supported me on the article and just deleted my comment.
Sorry this has been such a long article but I just wanted to say that the experience made me realize just how great this site is. We all have our banter and sometimes we go a little OTT, but we never stoop so low as to make that kind of comment. And our admin does such a good job of keeping everyone in line.
Sometimes I'm in tears of laughter at the comments, debates and banter on here, although I dont always comment.
Anyway, keep up the good work and the banter guys, and remember at the end of the day it truly is just a game.

AB....sorry to hear that mate but....honestly posting a picture of yourself and family on a random site is a bit mental. And..most people don't give a feck where you come from..not sure why you feel the need to sure that stuff in a site like that.
They have some vile posters unfortunately.
No excuse for the treatment you received but you should think about what you put out there.
