Yes why so much hate for Mills? on the Post website I mean not here so much.

Had at least two good seasons for us and scored some important goals in a season when we had no strikers from what I remember!

He was a free transfer on restricted wages due to the embargo. He was great value for that period. I bet he could have got a better deal elsewhere at the time when he left Bolton so Forest fans should be grateful that Freedman could persuade him to come to the CG. He wasn’t he most graceful of defenders but he was more of a plus than a minus in most games he played. He suffered with injuries towards the end and lost a lot of mobility. Can’t believe some would seriously question his value to the club at a time when it was on its backside.

Not quite sure what you are getting at Caniggia but I think that Byram an Cash as a right side pairing would offer plenty of threat down that side. On the left Robinson and Osborn would be solid but where would Carvalho fit in. (I'd have Soudani central).

Or we could decide on a really attacking 4-3-3:
Cash Watson Osborn
Carvalho Grabban Soudani

Think I mean that Darikwa is a better attacker than Byram but not as good a defender. And given that we play 4 at the back, our fullbacks need to be able to defend. Osborn does a good job but he’s a natural midfielder, possibly an attacker. I agree that Byram and Cash could work well.

Can’t see Carvalho not starting if fit. Be a big decision to leave a £13m signing on the bench, especially for a home game. If he is feeling the pace a bit, maybe, but I can’t see that being admitted!

Also have a feeling Soudani might be playing the super sub role for a while longer yet. Karanka is trying to blood him as gently as possibl, it seems, and keeping him very keen at the moment.

Also hope Pantillimon has been on the weights this week. A bloke his size should be clearing out everyone when coming to deal with crosses. Maybe that explains why he hasn’t been a Prem regular in his career? A little too timid at the vital moment. Something he really needs to work on otherwise Steele is a ready and willing replacement.

It’s a question of familiarity and communication. I would imagine it is something they’re working on intensively in training this week. Brum would have took note of the amount of chances created from crosses against Forest so far this season and they’ll be looking to capitalise themselves. They are quite a physical side anyway so it won’t be too much of a departure from their usual approach.
