Nowhere close to getting top 4

Not seen any real improvements whatsoever other then us embarrassingly trying to play the ball out from the back via Cech.

Already mentioned we had a shocking transfer window with a £50M budget considering we came 6th last season.

Yes we had plenty of chances today. Auba is a massive concern because he has once again not delivered in a big game and missed two absolute sitters.

We don't have the quality in the squad as it's arguably one of the poorest squads we have assembled but we can not continue to play in this fashion or we will lose most games.

I thought Emery would make us far more solid in the big games and then exploit his tactics against the lesser teams but we look far worse than last season and its difficult to see how things will change with both the personal we have and if he continues to implement this style of play.

I have no idea why we didn't put Ozil on the market if it is the high wages that are holding us back from transfers. The guy is simply not good enough and not built for the league.

Long long season ahead. 6-7th place at best.

People who pick up on other people’s grammar are generally found to be low on confidence and introverts.

Don't cry, I was only trying to improve you.

Emery got his subs spot on today. The right time he chose his subs also spot on.

Only two games into the season but our defense is the same as last year. We deserve a point today I think.

Talking about the negatives....I saw also some positives. Our come back today was brilliant. Wrote us off after 2-0 but we showed a fighting spirit that was impressive.

Good to have Nacho Monreal back. Showed some good skills going forward which we missed. Iwobi was probably our best player today.

We played our opening two games against two of the league’s top teams, who have all got better players than us.

Were you seriously expecting us to be like Barcelona circa 2008 after Emery’s been with these players for just a few months? He’s inherited a squad that is extremely mediocre and have been indoctrinated into playing a completely different way prior to his arrival.

Let’s not have a meltdown just yet.

He’s going to need a while to get us back on track.

Giving him £60 million to sort out a team that has gone thru a decade of rancid decay is ridiculous on the part of the board.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

How much more could you have given him though? Isn’t your squad bloated and your wage bill pretty high?

some of the comments on here are embarrassing

Said before the season we won’t finish top 4 because this is a very big mess to clean up. I didn’t watch the match yesterday but for me, going behind so early against the big teams we would have collapsed and taken a pummeling under Wenger. At least now we are attempting to compete with the better teams.

It’s going to take a long time to get back to where we want to be, look where Spurs and Liverpool finished on their first seasons under Poch and Klopp. Even United under Mourinho spent like £150M and finished 6th in his first season.

If we win the Europa and just show an improvement on our style and performances then it should be considered a successful season.

To win the Europa we will inevitably come up against a big team if we want to fin the tournament. Last year we came up against Athletico and lost.

The competition will be much tougher this year and we have Chelsea also in it

Yea and if we met Chelsea in the Europa and lost 3-2 at Stamford Bridge it wouldn’t be a horrible result

Chelsea are good enough to finish top 4, we aren’t. They won’t prioritize the Europa like we do, especially when Emery has won the Europa 3 years in a row and Sarri has never won a trophy before
