Was just thinking of the best Spurs team that I have seen in my lifetime (age 37)
I am undecided on right back. For me it is out of Stephen Carr or Kyle Walker.
Probably edging towards Carr although sometimes when looking back on past players you tend to look at them in a better light, was Carr really better than Walker?
Walker or Carr?

Good, considered response, Chronic. Unfortunately DJ isn't as measured in his football analysis.

Surprised the majority is for Walker.
Not that it makes you a better player but Carr played more games for us and he played in what was a terrible team most of the time.
If he played in a Poch team I think he would keep Walker out. Carr was not only quick but better on the ball.
Also, alot of people for their all time team are forgetting Gazza (unless of course it was before your time).
For me he is the best midfielder I have ever seen play for Spurs.

The role has changed since Carr was playing. His time was more about supporting on the flank, nowadays it’s about owning it. I’d take Walker.

Fair enough, I think it is close. I just remember Carr being our best player after many games which was worrying as he was our full back.
I didn't realise he bad mouthed the club after leaving. He played over 200 games for us so it is a shame he is not looked at as more of a club legend.

he left for Newcastle and started talking nonsense about how he left to join the bigger club and that it was a step up and all this other rubbish. not only was it absolute nonsense, as spurs are quite simply bigger than Newcastle, and pretty much always have been, but even if you think that, just keep your mouth shut, have some respect for the club that paid you for such a long time, and get on with the next stage of your career.

Spurs have definitely been bigger than Newcastle in most of my lifetime, but Newcastle were always bigger than Spurs up until the mid 1950s, give or take a year or two.

Carr was good, but he was playing in mostly crap teams, especially in his last season with us which was 04/04 where we had King in midfield with Brown and the likes of Keller, Gardner and Doherty in defence
Bittersweet seeing Walker happy, winning trophies and playing well at City.

Walker was sat in the bench last match. Players that are happy to just do that and trouser lots of money have absolutely no pride.
