As expected, absolutely embarrassed against a really good outfit.
I have no complaints with the result and Salzburg will beat better teams than us, was really impressed with them from middle to front.
Here’s my main gripe tho, the defence has been cause for concern for some time. Lustig has been done for about 2 or 3 years, he’s a massive weak link and still we have to persist with him, the state of him for that first goal, absolutely pathetic.
Then we have Jack Hendry who is well over 6 foot yer he gets bullied by a wee Japanese guy for the 2nd, again, absolutely pathetic.
The fact we go into these games with those 2 as part of a back 4 says it all, it’s a sorry state of affairs.
Middle to front wasn’t much better either, only Mulumbu emerges with pass marks, thought he was very good. Ntcham was dire, he genuinely doesn’t want to be there, he might be sold in January, clearly missing his mate.
As is Edouard, his goal shows his quality but his work rate is nowhere near what it was. A few of them are like that, dare I say it they’re not playing for the manager.
Rodgers body language is just fuelling the rumours he’s not happy. If he left tomorrow I honestly wouldn’t be down about it at all, there’s so much wrong with that squad and if we don’t win on Sunday the knives will be out.
This is no one’s fault but our own, Lawwell has made a rip roaring Kant of it this summer. Yes Rodgers has been backed but he flucked up with Piccini, McGinn and if you believe the rumours Schar as well. Not to mention the shambles with Dembele.
Btw, see if anyone else even wants to have a go at holding Forrest in Roberts category or Griffiths in Dembele’s they can sook ma banger. The difference in us by losing those two is absolutely frightening.
Aw well, a win on Sunday or it could be curtains.
