Soft footballers

Just watched grand final and let’s be honest those lads don’t take a backward step . Not like footballers , roll around , whinge and cry . Is it Mental weakness or just there are spoiled rotten ?

Yeah because they beat the shiiit out of each other on and off the pitch instead

Not all players are soft. I myself have played separate games with a broken, broken shoulder and a broken thumb. The reputation of tough footballers is sadly tarnished by play acting, diving and cheating pro's.

Again ledders , this is not my point . I’m not talking about it being violent or aggressive , I’m saying are the individual players mentality harder or not

Obviously rugby is a harder sport that’s not the argument

It’s a more violent sport on and off the pitch

In rugby you gain no advantage by staying down.
Equally, though, footballers don't have a history of sticking their fingers up each other's rears during games.

I’ve chosen to miss your point to be honest as it seems you’re implying that rugby players are tougher than footballers because they don’t roll around the floor after a heavy tackle. Evolution in humans and technology means that generally sportsmen are taller, quicker, more athletic etc than they were say 20-30 years ago, I doubt that it has meant they’ve also become weaker. Even if it did, would be an odd coincidence that this weakness is only evident in football....

Basically, footballers roll around because they’re trying to cheat. Gamesmanship of the highest order.

Problem is they get away with it. The rules are not tough enough.

Why not compare rugby to a like for like sport in terms of “toughness”
