Can’t abide female writers.

Sorry.

From whst Ive read Milkman is an 'original' read, the Irish do know how to write an odd book.

The Butcher Boy - Patrick McCabe one of my favourites,
The 3rd policeman - Flann O'Brien one of the more bizarre. Great reads.

The Third Policeman...one of the top ten books ever written. All his stuff is bizarre and brilliant....what a brain that guy had.

I mis-spent a fair part of my early twenties trying to imagine what that bike would have looked like after he painted it with that new colour he invented

I first read it when i was an apprentice in Collins, a massive change from what i'd read before

Kevin Barry is a great "new" Irish writer well worth trying
I also love Strumpet City, a bit dublin version ragged trousered phil.......

Kevin Barry....I'm not sure if it's worse that that's his real name or worse if he adopted it

Loved her interview on the BBC when she got it.

Umpteen clever rsed Q's thrown at her.

Obviously written by researchers.

Her answer to more than a few of them?

'I don't know'.
