Semi final Sunday - beautiful Sunday

What a pleasure to be involved in yesterday.

In the end there was only really one convincing side throughout the 2 semi finals. That was your men in the green and white.

First off, I thought Murrayfield was excellent, transport to and from it could be better if improvements were done but still, a fabulous stadium and a terrific atmosphere yesterday.

First half I thought was a bit eachy peachy, wasn’t much in the form of clear cut chances, Sinclair perhaps being the biggest to draw out a wonderful save. Steven Naismith going off may have dented Hearts confidence but it was thoroughly pleasing to see a bit of karma dished out, if he’s out for a long time then it will decimate Hearts even further with Souttar and Ipzuea also out until after Xmas.

2nd half the game changed completely and I’m not sure what game that moron Levein was watching but we certainly were not leggy, we were creating chance after chance and in Sinclair and Christie we had our match winners. Was the pen soft? Maybe, still contact though and the Hearts players reaction says it all, wonderfully taken by Sinclair to get the ball rolling.

After that it was a case of how many, the 2nd was actually a decent move until the keeper had an absolute howler, was it already in before Forrest tucked it away? I think it’s tight.

The 3rd was just stunning from Christie, passing it into the top corner first time

If it wasn’t for the Hearts keeper and some last ditch defending then it would have been 5 or 6, Edouard desperately unlucky with a couple, Sinclair also.

I thought the two centre halfs were very, very good. Benkovic is just a class above them all though, wonderful talent at his age, why couldn’t we have him for 18 months-2 years ?

Forrest, Rogic, Edouard and even Lustig were very good for me. Star men though were Sinclair, KT and Christie. He’s been threatening to really take his chance lately Christie and on yesterday’s showing he could actually have a lot to offer domestically this season.

Final note, credit to Brendan Rodgers, a lot of grief for him and a lot deservedly so, especially from myself but domestically we’re bang at it again, that’s 13 goals in our last 3 games and here’s his record in cup competitions:

Played 21
Won 21
Lost 0
Scored 67
Conceded 7

That’s phenomenal stats

Onto another final we go

As for the 2nd game, pretty dire to watch but some serious concerns have to be raised at that Rangers squad, can’t beat that Aberdeen side over 2 games, that’s now 5 semi final defeats in a row, not scoring a single goal in either of them.

Sadiq though, never thought I’d see someone worse than Amido Balde, congrats Stevie G; you made that happen

A quick glance over twitter tells you the knives have slowly but surely begun to be sharpened, the next 2 games now become massive for Gerrard otherwise those knives will be heading his way.

Fair play to Aberdeen, we will meet again in a cup final, just don’t expect the end result to be any different than previous

Schoolboy trolling shyyte CT.

Some collateral fallout when the March lad mistakenly took his part.

At the risk of stating the bleedin obvious.

The Pedro had some issues.

Says it’s from Sunday but I suspect that’s at Celtic Park rather than Murrayfield. Funny all the same

I remember someone done it at Ibrox in the Broomloan a few years back, good banter to be fair.

Yeah could be now I’ve had a second look. Thought there was more green round about when first viewed it but think it is Murrayfield

One of my mental nephews had an inflatable Pope in the Broomloan in

the 2-1 game just after we came back from Boavista in 03.

He is a nutter.
