I thought I should make this to commemorate the great man that has now passed.I hope perhaps a statue or somthing along those lines will be made for aintree to honour the memory such a great man. R.I.P. Ginger a gentleman and a legend and will be missed by all who have connections with the sport.

Here, Here! I always watch the National every year without fail, my first memories of it go back to watching Red Rum and Ginger pull off those remakable victories and runs, I was hooked from then on. He was the common man, in the common man's sport. Both of them are true legends of the sport, I will smile and can picture Ginger smiling if they are both now reunited. RIP

A bloke who spoke his mind, so rare these days. I remember Amberleigh House's run fondly, came from another county to win. It's not always the most successful people in a sport that make people love it, but characters like Ginger that do.
