Thnaksgiving Thread

Yeeeeooooooo, Turkey day is upon us.

Preparations start tonight!
House cleaned top to bottom.
Get that big old bird out of the freezer and let her start to defrost.
Liquor store run this evening for the beers, wines and the sparkling apple juice for the weirdo. Does Schloer still exist back home?

Tomorrow its veg prep time.
Sprouts cleaned and halved.
Spuds peeled
Carrots and parsnips, peeled, boiled, mashed, refridgerated.
Gonna make some mini sausage rolls, so will have those part baked and ready for a quick reheat come Thursday.
Mushrooms cleaned and stuffed.
Pork stuffing done.
Chestnut stuffing for the oddballs done.
Cheeses, nuts, nibbles, crackers, grapes and apples all good to go.

Can't wait to see the traditional Thanksgiving day news stories of "old Woman trampled to death in discount sweater stampede:" and "man shoots gun in air at crowded black friday sale in furby wrestling rage."

46 million.

46 million Turkeys will be slaughtered and munched upon come Thursday. Thats the entire population of Spain. If they were turkeys and not spaniards. best not to think about it that way, I suppose.
