OGS first interview

Absolute breath of fresh air listening to him

"its not about the opposition, its about us"

Complete opposite from Joses philosophy.

Because Carrick is in his first coaching job. At least Ole has some experience of management, even if it’s not comparable with managing a club like United.

True

You’d hope that the club have told Ole he can get a permanent role if he does well enough. Even though i doubt how well he’s gonna do, i’d be fuming if he surpassed all expectations and then got ‘sacked’ for someone like Conte

I doubt they have. When he spoke of the club looking for the next manager it becomes clear they’ve told him this is as good as it gets. Short of winning the CL, I can’t see him being offered the job permanently.

If he wins the Champions League he'd be Di Matteo MkII..

Which means Rafa's next in!

I never said whether you’d win them or not though elvis  Just that it’s a good run of fixtures for a new manager to have.

Say it god damn you, say it! It doesnt have to be 5 wins. 4 wins and a draw is standard practice.

Ha! Honestly, I’ve got no idea. Changing the manager was inevitable and absolutely the right thing to do. You’ve still got an unbalanced squad though that needs some real improvement in some areas that won’t get masked completely regardless of the manager. Couple that with a manager that’s essentially an unknown entity and god knows!

5 wins it is

From the word go, all parties involved have been made clear that Ole will only be an interim manager until the end of the season.

Even Ole himself knows this, regardless of any unforeseen potluck fortunes that my occur.

The club is in the process of rebuilding for the future and I doubt they would want to mess anything else up by extending an interim level standard manager as the main driving force behind the club’s future.

Who know’s what the future may hold for Ole coming back. If he does improve himself and becomes a contender for the permanent role then the door will be open for him. But in this period of restructuring, the club has got other concerns at large and requires a manager with higher degree of competence.
