One match ban enabled
Forest have never lost to QPR on their own pitch and there have been some blood and thunder fixtures between the two clubs in the past. I'm probably thinking of a cup game here when they tried kicking Cloughies team off the field; we still beat em'!
The much maligned 'wally with an umbrella' & fake Dutch accent has achieved a massive turnaround in QPR's fortunes this season and dragged them out of the basement [ there they looked dead & buried I thought] into mid-table respectability. A win tomorrow would put them one point behind us. McClaren won Manager Of The Month for October and put a four game winless run behind them with a 2-1 victory over Middlesbrough last week.
Barring any injuries I expect Karanka to field the same side as inflicted a moral defeat on Derby last Monday. That seems to be his method of holding his squad together.

Karanka could get more out of Carvalho but I'll not hold my breath. Last season Dowell did get a bit stronger as the season went on but still faded away after Christmas.
Whatever happens with Carvalho we could do with someone else to play number 10. It could have been Soudani, but I think we can write this season off as far as he is concerned

Interesting view from Hobbs. I suspect that there is an element of truth in some degree. Yesterday’s performance showed that several players have become a little too comfortable recently and didn’t work as hard as they could have done if they were honest. Think they need some tough love.

For some reason, especially at home, if we don’t get control early on, we immediately drop to the level of the opposition, not so bad against good teams, but fatal against mediocre/poor sides, both of which PNE in.I still wouldn’t be surprised if we got 4 points out of the next 2 away, but very concerned about the cheats on New Year’s Day.

No player is going to go to another club and say the opposite are they? Same happens when a new manager comes along, players always say the new manager is a breath of fresh air.
Add to that jack is now playing regularly so he is bound to be happier.
Good luck to him though hope he steers clear of injuries - a very good player when he does.

Totally agree Red, exactly what you would expect Hobbs to say. I echo your sentiments to him. Not a bad player just injury prone, much like Matty Fryatt.

That is spot on. Couldn’t impose themselves at all yesterday. Needed to throw caution to the wind a bit more when behind but there was no real charge at any point in the second half. In many ways, bringing on Murphy and Ansifarad sidelined Grabban, pushing him out wide. They lacked width with Janko understandably not keen to go on his left and Darikwa unusually not taking on his full back on as much as we are used to.

Crosses were the highlight for me. So many dreadful slung in crosses that never looked remotely like reaching a red shirt. Puts it into perspective that the best Forest cross of the entire match was put in by Hefele who’s wickedly fires in effort was perfect for Grabban but he headed it square of the goal.

The last minute corner summed up the afternoon when, after Pantilimon raced up for it, it failed to beat the first man.

Second worse offense a professional footballer can commit (without breaking the rules). Missing a penalty is worse

Good analysis of the set piece problem.
