Brentford v Bolton Wanderers

The festive season is upon us as Bolton make the long haul trip to Brentfords Griffin Park on the last Saturday before Christmas. The first of 4 games in 11 days which will test manager Phil Parkinsons squad rotation to the maximum. Brentford are on a poor run. Their record since manager Dean Smith left for Aston Villa is won 1, drew 1, lost 8! The worrying thing though from a stat point of view is Brentford score goals. While they concede a lot the fact that Bolton are the lowest goalscoring side in the championship will probably mean happy Christmas brentford from the fixture computer. Bolton are in an even worse run of form with no wins and 3 points from the last 12 games and are 2nd bottom. A win though could get Bolton out of the relegation zone. Team news. Craig Noone is suspended, Sammy Ameobi is available after sitting out the Leeds game and is likely to take noones place. Mark beevers is expected to be fit. What other changes parky now 12/1 outsider for the reading job makes as he juggles his squad over the next 4 games is anyone's guess.

Benny said in the intro "Craig Noone is suspended" was it five bookings or suspended by the club whichever he sneaked onto the coach into the hotel then onto the bench before he finally ran onto the pitch.
To be cont'd

Found it
On Thursday in the Beano Iles in the Parky still proud of struggling wanderers article said "Craig Noone will be suspended for the game at Brentford"

So have we just blown the spoken for January income on a nice fine.
I'll wager Ken will blame somebody and makes them pay or he'll withhold the pay run until somebody owns up.
Perhaps Christmas came early and he wasn't really suspended after all and Iles will cop another ban,

Close your eyes and think very hard.
Concentrate
Now pick a fixture any fixture next year when you think all those new January signings will be fit and ready to form into a force to be reckoned with.
Anybody else get 12th of March at home against Sheffield Wednesday

I would ship out what we can this window and try to get some pennies now and save the wages ahead of yet another revolving door in the summer. Going down no matter what as long as ken keeps running the club like he is. No point bringing any players in unless quality and Bolton haven't got quality money. Might be a bit too radical for parky this but how about bringing hall back and play him in a 2 with megennis, bring back politic and play him on one wing, Ameobi on the other. One holding midfielder Lowe and one attacking Vela or otzhumer, no 3 holding midfielders. Basically use the current resources better. Would you trust parky to bring the right players in anyway as his signings have been more miss than hit.

Getting rid of the mad Prof has to be the first priority.

Parky wants new players in January,
Did he not say that last January,
And probably the January before.
Why does he always want new players, when he still gets the same results year in year out.
Why don’t we try one new manager every year instead
Of a new team every year.

Happy Holidays
Ken is hoping you are opening lots of presents bought in the club shop.
Enjoy whatever you are doing this Christmas day as you look forward to a boxing day treat of Wanderers playing at home.

Come 3pm today remember the of mixing the biggest cocktail made up of all the left over booze to help you get through the match.
Then again you may want to start it earlier to give you a bit of courage to walk out the front door and go to the match.
