As the festivities start to take a toll on our inner plumbings and the en-suite, we arouse ourselves to the matter of a trip up the M1/A38 to give South Yorkshire a taste of the Mighty Rams. Unless you're Spart and you live practically next door.
Yours truly has obtained a ticket and is quietly waiting for an invite to a steel city hostelry to meet up with the Faithful. I'm still waiting.
Derby go into Boxing Day on the back of turgid encounter with Bristol City and the grumbling of fans who have been to two matches including the Florest one, all season and just don't understand why we are not 5 points clear at the top.
Marriot, or the lack of Marriot was a major talking point last week. Hindsight is great and his omission could have been considered a tactical master stroke had Derby scored 3 times before half time. They didn't, so it wasn't a master stroke.
Sheffield United are eager to,consolidate and improve their standing in the Championship and will be no pushovers. We thought Bristol would be 'easier' but maybe it was 2 points dropped which makes the job at Bramall Lane more intriguing.
Sell out tomorrow for the Faithful, let's hope they sing.

We were second to every loose ball especially in the second half. I said at the time Mount shouldn't have played against Chelsea when he was injured and now he isn't playing well.
Tomori, who I like, had a shocking game and Bogle probably needs a rest but we are short of full backs.
I haven't been too fond of Waghorn and think he cost about 4 million too much. But he is strong and was playing well when he was taken off versus Bristols. I couldn't believe it when I heard he wasn't playing against Sheff U. Fancy playing that waste of space Zooom instead of Waghorn, what the hell is the manager thinking of?
View the reason there are so few posts is because if the team can't be bothered, why should we? I know Frank is new to management but some of his team selections are bizarre. I can only assume he is following Ranieri's example and becoming the tinkerman.
Only Huddersfield to beat our magnificent record now.
