He gets a lot of stick from the media and fans whenever he does something daft, but credit were credits due I thought he was great today. Solid at the back and showed his composure, vision and passing range for the goal. Well done David Luiz, great performance.

I think we all realise it's a matter of time before he does something completely stupid!
--------------
This has been said him during last and now this season, due to a couple of rash decisions in his first spell with us. Its almost like you are wiling him to prove you right. Give the guy a break, he gives so much to the team.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I've said if he showed more concentration and less rash decisions I'd be a massive fan, yet you cut that out and put a negative part of the comment on it's own and out of context.
If you think I want him to prove me right it shows how little you know about me.
I want to see every player that pulls the Blue shirt on do well and will still support them over the white line no matter what I may think about them, whether it's Hazard or Moses.

I don't bother with this discussion anymore as people are so set in there ways, especially when you look at quite a few mistakes people have leveled at Luiz have been more due to bigger mistakes by other players. Most I would say this season have been due to Luiz trying to cover for Alonso and being left with no support - for example the Sanchez one Vs United, no one talks about Alonso losing the ball and being totally of position it's all; "why did he jump in there?", And the answy is simple he thought he could get there first, he didnt, this happens yet every one and there dog is talking about it as though he done an Allison FFS, it's a little pathetic. Don't get me wrong he makes some huge mistakes but these are more than outweighed by his good stuff, yet people only remember the half mistakes that led to goals.

Luiz has has some brilliant games for us and some shockers. It is no more complicated than that, but truth is the best CBs are consistent. Apart from Conte's first season he has never been consistent for us. He is not at the top of the list for best Chelsea CBs.

Yep good and bad performances this season. Was brilliant against City a few weeks back.
Has had his bad moments as well. Mugged by Mata, Destroyed by Spurs and that Newcastle goal.
Needs replacing but it would be great to have him around the squad. Real leader.

Brummie I ken you love Chelsea more almost anything else. Its a given, just as one could say is the potential rashness of DL. Here's hoping his contributions to the cause continue to outweigh the other thing.

Overrated player who has more downsides than positive attributes.

An interesting statement when one considers he made 56 appearances for Brazil from 2010-2017, even on occasion as the captain.
I agree Just shoot's comment. Also remembering his contribution to our 2012 effort in Europe makes him a club legend. I like to think that absurd penalty run up changed the mood in our favour after it thundered in.
