I can only see 2 bad outcomes

The situation of having Ole as caretaker manager got me really excited, like the majority of you out there. However I've been trying to look ahead at all possible outcomes (see Dr. Strange in Infinity War).

I'm worried that I can only really see 2 results out of all this, both of which aren't going to be good (see Doctor Strange Infinity War)

1: The Di Matteo Situation
Ole continues to do well. Maybe he wins the FA cup / gets top 4 / Progresses in the Champions League... or just continues to get the team playing well and wins over the majority of fans and the board.

The problem will then be next season, he starts okay, but then we go into a bad run. The media, some fans, the players all start to doubt him. The pressure builds and we end up a team hovering around the 5-6 spot again.
I can really see the pressure being massive.

"He's not managed a top level team before"
"Good players don't always make good managers"
"He's not tactically astute enough for united"
etc. etc.

2. We Get a New Manager
Let’s say we get Pochettino. The starts okay, but then we go into a bad run. The media, some fans, the players start to say they want Ole and how we played really well under him. We should have kept him. Blah Blah Blah

I think Poch will be under so much pressure if Ole does well for the next 5 months. Everyone will be saying we should have kept him as soon as we have a bad spell. The pressure will build and we'll be fighting for 5-6th in the league.

"It’s different being Spurs Manager as the expectation was less"
"Ole did really well in his stint, we should have kept him. Poch out!"
"Madrid bring in past players like Zidane, we should have stuck with Ole."

So in summary, I think we're in for a bad time.

Please change my mind.

Two very possible outcomes.

Other outcomes are;
- Ole doesn't do well
- Ole stays and does well
- Ole leaves on a high and the next manager does well

You make a poor Dr Strange (whoever that is)

I'll counterbalance this negative article with this:

Ole does so well, he delivers top 4, wins FA Cup and the Champions League. Next season he does the quadruple. He then goes on to manage the club for longer than SAF did, and has a better trophy haul, surpassing the number of CL wins that Real Madrid have, as well as holding the record for number of Club World Cup trophies. Utd then go on to clone him, and the cycle repeats itself. Happy days.

All makes sense apart from the cloning. By that time we will be living in a virtual world controlled by AI, so he would live forever... well until the heat death of the universe anyway.

And seconds before the heat death of the universe, Sheringham will head the ball towards Ole's primordial right boot once more...

really have to wait and see how you guys do against top of the league teams but i doubt jose would be a perfect 4 and 0. maybe your performances are better because of less pressure because of how bad it was.
interesting to see how you will start next season, but the football is already much easier on the eye.

also i wonder how good poch would actually do if you got him. tottenham is a good team, is the manager doing enough.

Much more to it than that.

Outcome 6: poch comes in and blows 600m in two windows but ends up with huge names falling out and not performing. Poch leaves, ole comes back.

Maybe we just enjoy the moment. Rejoice at the way we are playing, but don’t get too carried away.

After the 5 and a half seasons of mediocrity, I don’t want to think about what comes next, I’m just enjoying free flowing football.

The idea that anyone is going to take this moody bunch and turn them into a fighting force in double quick time is laughable.

Klopp finished eighth in his first season at Liverpool.

Plenty of time for the limitations of both Solskjaer and the team to be revealed between now and May.

Of course it doesn’t help when the commentators claim that Rashford scoring from five yards out was down to the Norwegians coaching acumen! 😂
------

Ole took Molde from 11th to 1st in one season.

Rashford had missed a lot of big chances this season, quite often due to blasting shots instead of placing them. He looked calmer when one on one with the keeper and you'd have to be a moron to believe that Ole hasn't been trying to give advice to his main striker during those 4 games.
