Detox

No alcohol, cigars, or spicy food for 3/4 days.

I drove north to Perthshire yesterday at 6 am.

Took in an interstellar sunrise on Meall Tarsuinn hill.

I've seen plenty of these but this one was in the Top 3 ever.

Feeling much more 'normal' already and this is only day 2.

Anyone else having a detox?

show

Ali's programme is a great watch.

It began with the presenter wandering in the Catholic cemetery

and thinking what is a Muslim doing here?

A few months research later and the film crew were in Glasgow.

BBCAlba gave my friend 5 dvd copies of the prog & I've got one.

It's a bittersweet watch at times as Rose is away & we 2 couples

had some great gatherings.

Re the Lifestyle or Luck continuum.

I still veer towards the latter.

Identical twins with broadly the same lifestyle die many years apart.

Some are obese and some are normal BMI even tho they have broadly

the same diet.

Some folk can drink a lot and not become alkies and some who

drink less have addiction issues.

Not very scientific and the fvk do I know tho anyway?

Trying to give up meat (I know, I know) as well. More for my bowels (and again) as for anything else. Maybe drop the few pounds I added over Christmas.

Funny enough I'm doing the same. Still eating fish as full on veggie sounds hard.

Same reason too, I'm sick of needing painkillers just to wipe my crack.

I'm just worried that folk think I'm taking some sort of ethical stance.

My wife’s a veggie.

I’m hoping this will somehow get me anal.

At least that’s what I’m telling my family.

You a Give or Take guy?

Or probably ambidextrous ?

After my annual Detox I can conclude once again it is for Bufties.

Now back in the City of Sin I feel better than I have since Sunday.

Machni pakora, Methi Ghosh curry, 3 pints & 4 drams

<?I'd love to still do some of the stuff you can still do Quinny, but I' need to get fit to enjoy that, and I wouldn't enjoy that, so, I'll just do something else... >

That's what it's all about subs.

Swings & roundabouts as well, and what works for you.

I've never had any weight issues - waist is 32 what it was near

50 years ago I can eat & drink copiously with no effect.

Some of my siblings are always having to diet.

Downside for me is that I have more or less constant and high levels

of backpain while none of my siblings ever have that.

Keeping active cuts down on painkilling meds.
