I think the further you go the more you want to win it , but it’s just list it’s way the fa cup for me , I used watch every final but I wouldn’t watch anyone except us in the final , it used to be a massive occasion

Yeah it certainly used to be.

The whole of Saturday would revolve around gearing up to watch the final, no matter who was involved

All started to die for me when the semis started being held at Wembley

No it just ain’t the anymore it used to be on BBC & ITV @ 3 pm the whole nation used get up for it a great occasion 👍 happy with my season no problem

der kloppites has a point, I remember back in the '70s and '80s no matter who was in the final loving the build up, from the hotel to the game and many of them were great finals.

The year it died a death with me was the year Man Utd took the decision (not to defend it?) by playing in the Mickey Mouse world club championship .

Downhill since along with the PL big bucks has made a mockery off it.

Just another cup competition, use to be the best.

Dis the magic of the cup go at about 10pm tonight ?

If you're going to be blasé about getting knocked out of 'lesser' competitions you better make sure you win one of the ones you don't consider beneath you

The main reason for FA Cup's devaluation stems from the CL having 4 teams from England in it so better to finish 4th than win the Cup.

Are you remembering the "good old days" when there was about 2 live games on every year and TV was black and white.
Now with seventeen live games on every week if your team isn't in the final you probably don't even watch it.

IGOR - I hate Man U as much as the next man but it wasn't THEIR decision, it was the FA who forced it as we had a WC bid in I think.
