I'm gutted. An absolute British icon.
Such a shame, realistically in our livetimes we will not see a brit with his quality.

Sad day to see Murray have to retire through injury. Did amazing in such a tough era in tennis to win
He must have inspired so many from Scotland especially to take up tennis. Who would have thought we could produce a Wimbledon champion ffs from Scotland. Two in fact from same family, Jamie doing doubles.
I saw him as often as possible, been to Wimbledon, Australia open, queens club, the ATP finals at 02. Was great while it lasted. Tennis for me is not the same without him. Very sad to be honest. I am so glad he won 3 grand slams though, absolutely brilliant achievements. He has his family too.
Cameron Norrie is a good up and coming tennis player to watch. I saw him in Perth last week playing Federer. He is 93 in world. Scottish dad, Welsh mum.

‘ I saw him in Perth last week playing Federer. He is 93‘
I don’t see him having a lengthy career, if I’m honest.
