Waites and Jim Williams had poor weekends considering they had a good week at the Lakeside, McKinstry was disappointing also.
got to fancy Jim Williams for the BDO title next year or Unterbuchner

Yeah, didn't really notice Waites all weekend. Williams gave himself a chance going into Sunday, but blew it early.

Seems odd that Durrant had to go through all that.
Surely winning 3 BDO titles (with some of the very average players in the lower end of the PDC) is enough to warrant a place in the BDO.

There are good arguments for and against it.
Given the number of tour cards on offer there is certainly room to give a card for one or two BDO players without Q school.
But then you could argue Lisa Ashton has also won a few titles. Did she warrant a card without going through Q school?

I don’t know anything about women’s darts but judging by previous men’s BDO winners, I can’t think of many that have disgraced themselves. Some of them I thought would do better (like Webster and Bunting), but still most of them have improved competition in the PDC I feel.
