Points Deduction On The Way?

Bristol City owner Steve Lansdowne has called for Leeds to be deducted points for watching other teams train. The worrying aspect of this particular outburst is that the Bristol City chief operating officer Mark Ashton is on the EFL board. So I guess that's one vote for a deduction already in the bag.

What's worse watching opponents train or retrospectively making up a new rule about watching opponents train that will cost the opponent points?

At least new Stoke manager Nathan Jones has managed to retain his sanity through this over hyped over anylized over the top spygate farce.

He has a great attitude and says that MB is welcome to come and watch Stoke train. He would welcome the opportunity to sit down and have a chat with MB as he is a very good football person.

Just for that I hope when Stoke next play Bristol and Derby they give them a good thrashing. Maybe Leeds could loan them Roofe and Hernandez for those particular games.

Leave it as a clean slate, pts deduction would be a step too far.

A drop in form would be funny though and would show that this crap actually gets results.

If Leeds fail from here on in, he may never recover and the Leeds board will die a death.

Can someone please ask the Direby board to take back their Irish mascot?

All logic screams at you that the punishment should be minimal and that a new rule is put in place with a "don't do it again". There's that nagging doubt where the EFL are concerned though thinking back to 2007, and a whole host of incidents since that they use Leeds as a test case. Call me paranoid if you like and they may yet surprise me but have a feeling they'll come down hard on us.

When you think back to the breach of the FFP rules by a number of promoted sides, Wolves clever use of the rules etc there should absolutely be no question of a points deduction or a reversal of a result but I just don't trust them and feel they have an agenda and I do wonder what Bielsa's reaction to that scale of punishment would be.There it is i hope I am very wrong.

Why not do it again?

You send scouts to watch them play. This is no different.

Not the I ever thought we would get a points deduction, but I'd imagine this makes it harder for that to happen now anyway.

If we are given a points deduction we could argue that their chief operating officer was influenced by his boss and there could have been in fear for his job if he didn't

This is starting to blow up a bit too big for my liking.

Eleven Championship clubs have written to the EFL demanding a detailed investigation into the ‘Spygate’ controversy on the back of Marcelo Bielsa’s extraordinary press briefing.

A letter drawn up by rival teams was sent to the governing body yesterday in the wake of the 66-minute analysis presentation given by Bielsa at Leeds United’s training ground on Wednesday.

I think if there is any punishment beyond a warning, Leeds need to appeal ceiting other teams that have spied and no-action taken against them.

* Villas-boas - should they revoke Chelsea's titles?
* Ferguson - helicopter incident being one
* Wenger (JM always called him a voyeur!)

I am expecting the FA to come down hard on us, they being the gangleaders of the anti-Leeds brigade but the club must fight it. There is no real law against it.

Get used to this type of thing when you’re top of the Championship. We had it last season with teams calling for us to be investigated.
