Anyone actually confident Thursday ?

Honestly who’s genuinely confident we are going to make it through to the final Thursday ? Had we got at least half our main attackers fit and playing, I would of been so much more optimistic of progressing, but this Ali injury is just a step to far for me, even if Lucas does start.

That’s 60+ goals taken out of the team. That’s the equivalent of Liverpool losing Mane, Friminho and Salah for a crunch game. I just can’t see where our goals are going to come from. Fulham are the worse side in the division, so I’m certainly not going to use that yardstick to justify us scoring as a fierce London derby with Chelsea is a completely different proposition.

I honestly can’t see us not conceding, which means we will have to score to actually progress, or face the doomed fate of a penalty shootout we all know which way that will inevitably go. I just can’t get myself excited for this with the horrendous absentee’s to such key attackers.

Honestly would be gutted to get knocked out by these f*** now!!! Going to need a rock solid defensive display because I see a draw at best which will obviously be enough, but think we are going to be so deflated and weak in attack to do anything if they go 1 or 2-0 up.

Yeah looking forward to a loss in the final this year. Also looking forward to seeing the new way of being facked over. Probably a hattrick of VAR mistakes or something.

I am a product of the 1960s. Oh how I wish we could go back there.

I am confident. Pochettino has built in an Argentinian street fighter mentality into the squad, we are so much tougher than the generations of Spurs teams before. We are going to lie down for Chelsea just because of a few injuries

"not" (going to..)

Maybe Fernando will find the right goal this time!
Maybe Aurier will be able to play ...... and thus give Trippier the rest he so richly deserves.
If we have a back four of
Aurier, Vertonghen, Alderweireld, Rose
With Dier in front,
and Lucas Moura ahead,
we might have a chance.
Chelsea are a good team and will almost certainly get in some shots on goal. That Willian fellow is someone to watch...we could sure use him ourselves right now!

Just for the record Ted, do you actually think Spurs can win any game before they play, only if you don't mind me saying, you always seem to post why the opposition should be beating Spurs, rather than the other way around.

Having been a Spurs fan for well over 50 years I would not be confident if we were at full strength and their whole first team was injured

Grandspur you are what I call super optimistic compared to Ted. I have never ever met such a negative supporter as Ted, although I have never actually met him, so he probably isn't that bad a chap.

Under Bill Nicholson I expected us to win every match, the following decades saw that optimism evaporate and I became what I thought was the typical pessimistic Spurs fan expecting the worse no matter how poor the opposition. Pochettino is the first Spurs manager to bring back the Nicholson feeling and its great!
