Concerning news story this morning.
'Cardiff City’s new record £15million signing Emiliano Sala was on board a missing private jet from Nantes to the Welsh capital, French police have confirmed.
A major search operation is underway after the light aircraft disappeared from radar near the Casquets lighthouse on Alderney in the Channel Islands.
Guernsey Police revealed that the Piper Malibu has been missing since 8.30pm on Monday night.
And now French police have told AFP that they believe the Argentine striker was on board.
The private plane was flying from Nantes, France, to Cardiff, sparking fears that the player could be on board'.
Doesn't sound good.
New Cardiff signing plane missing.

Awful

There's conflicting reports regarding whether Sala was even on board. I mean is it really the norm for a player to travel on a light aircraft with only 1 pilot onboard alongside him? Surely insurance wouldn't allow it for a start.
Regardless be it Sala or not 2 human have appeared to lose their life so it's a very sad day.

police have said he was on the plane

Oh, shet.
That's awful but i assumed the club wouldn't want him getting on a light plane with just one pilot, if said pilot fell ill (which could turn out to be the case) that's goodnight.

Why a bloody Malibu? Couldn’t whoever hired the plane not have got a proper engine jet? It wouldn’t have cost much more.

I wouldn’t get on one of those crop dusters.

Strange choice of plane
I know a round trip from London to Paris on a 6 person jet costs around 7000 quid
It’s very sad but I can’t help but think it’s such a strange choice of plane

Never understand why anyone would want to travel on one of those planes at this time of year in high winds, but I guess they do all the time.
Hope they find them safe, but it's highly doubtful.
RIP
