Burton - City

Going to be a tough one, City need all hands on deck to get away with a result here.

If Burton score an early goal its game on.

That's a completely different point though, you're talking about the performance on the pitch there. If Newport were in the same situation as Burton are tonight, their ground would be packed out too (as would Rochdales)

Only because they would of bought the tickets before the 1st leg.

Tie should probably be investigated for betting irregularities. There match fixing here, burton clearly better over 180 mins..

I’m sure Burton have banked a tidy sum for tonight 20k loyalty points for an away ticket tonight? Not bad for a club with no fans.

It was like the old farts club behind the goal tonight

Did what was needed. Had it been a cricket sore there would have been an uproar. As it was, half a dozen youngsters got some valuable experience, KDB and Mendy built some fitness and Kun got a goal. The Burton fans saw their team put on a decent display and some high quality footballers on their pitch. What is not to like?

I will support Burton Albion through all the ups and downs and happily watch our players put up a good fight in matches it's inevitable we will lose. Our achievements are truly amazing but perhaps can't be appreciated or understood by some supporters of Manchester City.

We're a small club with a miniscule budget and yes, of course it's exciting to have a big club with a massive budget come and play at our lovely little ground. It's not a waste of my time supporting my club at any cup matches (home and away) we've earned a right to play in. On the other hand, travelling all the way to Manchester just to watch two teams I don't support doesn't interest me and really would be a waste of my time.

BA442 think you will find none of the posters from City have run down your achievements. It's a little too raw for us old fans, been were you are.

No ones belittled Burton far from it.

You won’t get that type of arrogance off us.

I'm really pleased that the Burton fans saw their team do well this week. They got to see the best midfielder in the league as well as the best striker and they and their team can hold their head up. Hope the rest of the season is a success for them and that the club made a few bob that they can invest in the future.
