Sell Aubameyang?

If we can get a decent figure then surely it's more than worth considering.

Due to incredible mismanagement over the past few seasons we as a club could be compared to a bloke spending his life savings on a Ferrari engine only to mount it on an abandoned Tesco trolley.

Although PEA is without doubt a fantastic player, he turns 30 in June and given we have a poor, completely unbalanced squad with apparently no money to improve then perhaps it's sensible to cash in (if we can).

Lacazette is a very capable CF, is on lower wages and has a few more years on his side so for a club trying to be prudent he's the better bet long term.

It's a very poor situation we have at the club but realistically is it time to weaken one area in order to improve several others and in theory improve the team overall?

(It would be a real shame obviously, personally he's someone I wanted us to sign from 2014 onward and even found this old article http://www.ja606.co.uk/articles/viewArticle/322722 - some classic deluded comments from GT on here )

Thing is we wouldn't be attempting to replace him, that would be impossible on our budget.
------
So Laca will be expected to play 60 games a season??

Bro, can you really not see the point he's making? You have two strikers who are good enough to be 1st choice, so you could sell one to get money and a buy a more suitable 2nd choice level striker among other players who will strengthen other areas of the team and make Arsenal stronger overall.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But a "second choice level striker" will cost most of what we could get for Auba. So you are weakening the strong area of the team and still not having adequate resources to improve another.
But he literally said we wouldn't attempt to replace him, so your point is wrong anyway

We need reinforcement and Auba isn’t the problem it’s Ozil we should sell.

The key to Arsenal's immediate a near term success is how we will play Auba and Laca together. Not to sell one and disrupt one of the more positive attributes of the squad.

So why then call the OP a moron?

We'll give you both Niasse and Tosun for Auba.

Fair offer?

OK, we'll throw in Keane too

And we have only 2 strikers available atm.Would be madness to see our best goalscorer, right?

To be honest if a club did come up with a bid of £60+ Mil for him i'd sell him.

If a Chinese club were willing to part over £45-50Mil for Arnautovic who is the same age and nowhere near the same quality as PEA then why can't we get £60+Mil?

Not sure what direction the club are taking at the moment as it looks like they are shafting Emery and the Fans.

Ray of hope?? The following will be leaving/could be so our wage bill will be reduced massively.

Cech - £120K P/W
Ramsey - £140k P/W
Welbeck - £80K P/W
Lichtsteiner - £80K P/W
Monreal? - £70K P/W
Ozil?? £350K P/W
Koscielny? £100K P/W
Jeninkson £60K P/W

That's alot of Money going off the wage bill and if we can somehow get Ozil out we should be good to rebuild.

Just pure insanity this article. Please think again. Yes, let's sell the player who was leading the Premier League top scorers for months on end despite too often having sub-par players supporting him from midfield or the flanks.

Let's sell a player who is still rapid and clearly has a good few years left in him as a poacher at the top level. Let's sell one of our few players who can do things like this and score an important goal out of nowhere:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DaI_lN9JSuk

Let's sell our top scorer who has 17 goals instead of getting some real value out of the large transfer fee we paid for him where we really need it - on the pitch. Instead let's weaken our 1st XI and create a problem in virtually the only area of the team where we do not need major investment and will not be able to acquire like-for-like quality with the money we would receive for selling him.

Let's not.
