After a disappointing draw in their FA Cup fourth round clash with League 1 side, Shrewsbury Town on Saturday and the 7 goal thriller against Leicester just over a week ago, from which they emerged victorious, Wolves return to Molineux on Tuesday to host West Ham United.
In the reverse fixture back in September, Wolves came away with all 3 points thanks to a goal from Adama Traore, currently the only goal he has scored since joining Wolves last summer.

Viewed by Wolves fans as a direct rival, West Ham, along with Leicester, Bournemouth, Watford and Everton is one of the teams which provide the biggest challenge in the ‘mid table mini-league.’
In their previous five league games, both teams have won 2, lost 2 and drawn 1.
Just 2 places and 1 point separate the two clubs in the league table and with both on the same goal difference, this game is the very epitome of a ‘6 pointer.’

West ham go into this game on the back of a 2-0 away defeat by Bournemouth followed by a humbling FA Cup away defeat by bottom placed league 1 side AFC Wimbledon.
Manuel Pellegrini will have available joint top scorer, Marko Arnautovic who was the subject of a £35m transfer bid from a Chinese side, thought to be Shanghai SIPG. Although previously keen to leave, the forward has recently stated that he is committed to West Ham and despite being contracted to the club until 2022, on Saturday signed a contract extension.

Gem’s prediction: 2-1

I don’t think Nuno had much choice in moving to the 3142 formation because Costa, Cavaleiro and Traore we’re not making the 343 work. We weren’t supporting Jiminez well enough and weren’t scoring enough. And we were always in trouble when the opposition played 5 in midfield. With Dendoncker and Moutinho pushed forward it means Neves gets more time on the ball and can play the quarterback role he does so effectively

The heat maps on whoscored always make interesting reading. Moutinho the one of gets on the ball in advanced positions more than the other two with Dendoncker doing a lot of dirty work though more right side than left while Moutinho seems to cover more left than right while Neves floats all across but of course that goes to shat againt polar opposites like man city and Shrewsbury in recent games.

I think he was getting pretty frustrated throughout the game. The formation him and Traore were playing in was working, he had nowhere really to go each time he got the ball, potentially could have had a penalty I. The first half, had a header saved that would have gone in 9 times out of 10 etc.

He probably felt more relief at that point than elation. A bit like me sat at home to be honest.

I have a degree of sympathy for Costa and Traore on Saturday. Just look back at some of our successful players of a similar ilk over the years. What use would Dave Wagstaffe have been to us if Dougan and Richards were left out of the team and not replaced. Or Robbie Dennison as a striker without Bull and Mutch, or Jarvis and Kightly asked to play up front on their own. The game is different nowadays but I still think it’s a set up that isn’t going to work, regardless of how poor the opposition are

What were these wild celebrations after our equaliser? I saw Coady shake Doherty's hand and that was about it

Tickets for the cup replay now on sale and generally only £15 which is great to get a decent crowd in

And there are still 3 tickets left for tonight. Individual seats in various parts of the Billy Wright lower tier

Everybody threw their hands up in the air and began moving toward the scorer while Costa literally didn't break his walking stride. Seemed a bit off to me but Tam may be right.
