Well that was a pash game
Job done I suppose but we were poor I thought. We need to start playing a bit more possession fitbaw. Not warburton esque possession for possession sake but it would be nice to see us string some passes

I think first half we had 72 percent possession. 2nd half was dire though offered nothing

Yeah tho you’d expect us to have bulk of the ball. Even first half I thought we weren’t great. Too many loose passes or schite thru balls for an offside Defoe. I think I just expected to see is dictate the game more given they are in the bottom division

Flannagan was terrible last night. Im pretty sure he is only on a one year deal. I wouldnt expect it to be extended.
Davis looked a bit sharper and his quality is obvious. Its more about whether he still has the energy/physicality at his age to impose himself on the Scottish game.
Defoe was an empty jersey. Made Morelos look like a world beater.
Hopefully he will improve as his fitness improves.

Yeah I wasn’t overly keen on signing Defoe and I’ve not seen much since he had to think he’s what we need.
Anonymous largely , tho it doesn’t help we are playing high balls to him to try and win in the air . Not sure he’s what we needed really.

From what little we have seen so far Defoe looks like his main use will be as a last 20 minutes subby when we need a goal or in from the start to give Morelos a rest.
He certainly doesn't look like he is worth changing the whole formation of the team for to shoehorn him in besides Morelos.

Yeah I agree, let’s just hope Gerrard thinks the same after the killie debacle

Personally I think Defoe and Davis are 2 waste of money signings. Davis is not the box to box player he was when he left, he's a holding midfielder now that we didn't need. Defoe is now past it imo. We could have just used one of our youth players instead.
I would rather we used the money to get Kamara in early and spend it on a number 10. That's the player we really needed.
As for people above saying Rossiter will go into obscurity, utter nonsense. I think a loan deal to Bury will be the making of him. It's not his fault he got an injury the medics couldn't fix. It took him going to St Georges park and the medics there to figure out his issue. I still believe he will become a top player and we'll make a lot of money on him down the line.
