Central Midfield

Aside from today`s horrendous refereeing performance and the result, our central midfield appears virtually non existent at the moment, the bite and speed of ball recovery appears to have gone.

Teams are now regularly playing through us far too easily, Leicester today had far too much time and space and should really have scored at least another goal.

We are currently a far cry from the Dembele and Wanyama central midfield that bossed just about every game. Obviously we have injuries and Wanyama trying to regain match fitness, but I dread to think what will happen to us away at City and Klanfield, even with Dier coming back in we look so short at the moment.

I don`t like to criticize young players, but it is a lot to ask Skipp to come in and boss the midfield and Winks can be hit and miss.

I hope selling Dembele does not come back to bite us, we`ve ridden our luck of late in games we should be winning comfortably.

Agree. Liverpool and city would tear winks and skipp combo a new one. Need dier and Sissoko in middle for those games

Said at the start that I didn’t think that midfield was good enough. Brilliant win today, but we need to strengthen in that area.

There's a reason we are scraping by .. the central midfield we had today, and you can add Dier and Wanyama to that is not good enough to control the pace of a game. Our best moments at the moment come from by passing the midfield. Our guys work hard and put in a shift... but so do city's.. difference is theirs has proper players

Winks is a good young player but the others are not good enough. We are gonna get humped at city and probably Anfield too.

It's all about the summer at this point. Either sell eriksen and rebuild the midfield or ask uncle joe for some cash... oh wait...

Yes, opposition teams are just steamrolling through our non existent midfield. Need to get either Dier or Wanyama in there to stabilise it.
