Showtime

It's a fascinating week ahead, perhaps not as pivotal as people may think, but we can certainly make a statement of intent. Strangely, I think Roofe's injury, and his replacement by Roberts, may actually improve the balance within the team. Roofe has gotten used to being number one up front, and his relationship with Bamford is one that he will have to develop. Roberts, on the other hand, is a more natural foil for Bamford and it will be intriguing to see how the two of them play together.
A second area of interest is to see what effect a good break has on Klich who, for me, has looked like he is carrying an injury for some time. He will get plenty of opportunities to run the ball through the channels to find Pablo, Harrison and Roberts. With KP playing in front of the defence, I wonder if Klich will press further up the pitch than usual, to create more opportunities.
Thirdly, when will we see Brown coming on? He has had a long rehabilitation and he must be as anxious as he is relieved, to be able to show what he can do.The media coverage of Brown has been underwhelming and there is an implication that he is not as motivated as other players. He does not help himself in the media by looking dishevelled and, in the U-23 games, playing conservatively. However, reports suggest that he is a classy player, who can bring something speciaI to the team. I think he will appear at some time against Bolton. Let's see what the sound of 36,000 fans does for his motivation.
Finally, we are at the start of three matches in less than a week. We are rested, we have players coming back into the squad and the biggest question for me is whether we have come out of our January doldrums. The Swansea game offered the hope that we can match most teams in our fixture list, if we play to that standard consistently.
In any event, what a great time to be a Leeds supporter. Fasten your seatbelts, boys and girls, it's showtime.

Within k roofe either needed dropping to the bench or a rest, but the 8 days we have had could have don that anyway.

I think we can cope without him, but its still a loss regardless, guy is our top scorer and has been great for us this year

Also, something to consider.

If Brown makes a real impact between now and the end of the year, so much so that we'd want to get him in full time, it now might be more difficult as Chelsea have just been given a transfer ban which might make Chelsea unwilling to sell players as they can't bring in players to replace any players

Big if Matty, he hasn't played one minute for the first team yet. Looked good for the U23's in the second division but it's a big step from there to the first team.
Personally think that Harrison is more likely to sign for us than Brown.

We should be top 2 come Saturday night. Expecting Sheffield Utd to drop points and us to win. Hopefully Bristol City hold or beat Norwich also.
