Would make sense
If he retires, the media attention surroudning him will die down and if he is proven guilty od the allegations, then at least his footballing reputation wont be harmed
Id hate for him to have a poor season as a result of this, get proven guilty for numerous affairs etc. all while he's still playing as it will overshadow what a great player he has been
