Not another one......games coming thick and fast at PP giving us the perfect platform to solidly cement our play- off credentials with convincing displays.........or not....
Saturday saw a solid display against Sheffield Wednesday but even though we looked a lot better than in some horror performances recently, we still looked as if we were playing at our limit without the creative catalyst that we are looking for.
Even the South Stand made noise on Saturday which certainly aided our performance but remember we are only three mis-placed passes away from a library.
Tom Lawrence should be in the squad on Wednesday. Funny how much we miss him when he's NOT playing. Still too early for Mount and Bryson but a mini Renaissance for BJ gives the Faithful hope that perhaps he may just for a couple of games justify his wages. Mason Bennett looks to be out for a least 3 weeks. Bryson currently setting the sat nav for Kilmarnock.
Stoke are still not fulfilling their potential. Premier league players abound in the side but as is all too often Premier players struggle to deliver in the Championship, so expect a Stoke win.
Team selection should see just the one change with someone starting for Bennett.

Just couldn't score.
Some great cohesion and team play, a lot better than before but you just knew that we were not going to score. Butland was in excellent form and was the difference between a comfortable win and what we got.
Bogle excellent, TL looked good, Tomori just oozes class and Keogh immense. Holmes very useful and Malone looking slightly more assured.
Stoke are just an old lags team playing in the Taverners. And it showed.

Surely we have to start winning big sometime. Shooting practice required.
Think in the battle of the two Toms, Lawrence looked better than Ince. Stoke were crap, how did 10 men beat us at their place.

I thought we played really well although Stoke were awful which helped. The 4-2-3-1 worked well and Holmes, Lawrence and Wilson were all getting on the ball between the lines and turning to run at Stoke. Those three seemed much more fluid than previously. Trouble was the lack of clear chances even though we had plenty of longer shots that by the law of averages ought to have given us a win. There is much more stability in midfield with Huddz and Johnson but it does mean we have one fewer body contributing to attacks. Maybe Mount will give us that extra spark of creativity though I would be surprised if either of those made way for him.
Wagstaff huffed and puffed to little effect and Marriott didn’t even huff or puff. One of them needs to find his scoring boots soon if we are to make the play-offs. Really enjoyed the game though. Lawrence and Bogle both excellent.

'Kyle McAllister has been named in Scotland Under-21s squad for their upcoming friendly matches against Mexico and Sweden.
Derby County Under-23s’ wideman, currently on loan at St. Mirren, will travel to Spain for his maiden call up in the Under-21s side where Scotland are set to face Mexico on Friday 22nd March and Sweden on Monday 25th March.'
