Sarri In

I’d like to know how the Sarri Out posters believe the club should proceed this summer if they do get rid of Sarri. And please don’t say Lampard, he is not ready and as a club legend he deserves better than the fickle, reactionary BS that he is certain to have to deal with from this fanbase.

It seems every Chelsea fan is in agreement that we need to have quite a massive transfer window this summer if we aren’t banned by then.

Now if Sarri stays we have someone in charge who’s had a year with the squad and probably knows exactly where we need to improve and what we need to do it. Maybe the people that want him gone don’t believe he should be trusted to make such decisions, but the question then is who can be trusted?

Do these people really think it would be wise to sack Sarri, bring someone else in and expect them to be able to immediately identify weaknesses in the squad and then offer solutions? And if we bring in a new manager but the board alone makes the signings, does anyone genuinely trust them to get it right?

If you ask me getting rid of Sarri will just leave us exactly where we were last summer, so why have the club even bothered to bring him in if they didn’t trust him to eventually get things right? Is one year really enough to expect the kind of turnaround we as a club wanted after last season?

Certain posters go so far out of their way to avoid giving Sarri any credit that I find myself sounding like some disciple of his simply because I like to give him credit and be positive about him.

People probably assume I think he’s the perfect manager I don’t, there are definitely things he needs to improve but I’ve seen enough to believe he can.

I want him to get more time.

It’s amazing how many renowned managers we make look incompetent at our club isn’t it?

Don't think that's fair.

The exact same flaws that got Carlo, Jose mark 2 and AVB sacked all crept up elsewhere too.

All managers have flaws but there’s a reason why we hire all these guys - they have successful careers elsewhere before they arrive with us. That spell at Porto for Jose, the CL wins for Carlo and that invincible season for AVB. As soon as they get here though, they’re branded incompetent and leave within a few years.

Sarri is a case in point. This guy is incredibly well thought of in mangenment circles, Pep/Klopp etc are are glowing in their praise for him. His Napoli side was an absolute joy to watch. With us though within 6 months he’s incompetent and one dimensional.

In Carlo and Jose's cases they both had the success they were hired for then got fired because the cons started outweighing the pro's, it also happened to both at Real and Carlo again in Munich, Jose at United to at extent aswell. It's not uncommon at this level and it's certainly not an "issue" isolated to us.

AVB came too soon and he showed at Tottenham afterwards that it was more his fault than ours, remains to be seen what happens with Sarri.

I find it funny that people criticised Mourinho in his time for not playing youth and for playing people like Ivanovic and Oscar constantly... but then Sarri doesn't play youth and plays trash players like Jorginho and Kovacic constantly and people make excuses for him?

comment by Jose Mourinho, just the Portuguese Fat Sam, teaching 19th century football. Klopp is the better manager, and Eva Caniero was right. #Hazard knows ✌ (U22090)

I think your making things up there. It's one of Sarri's biggest criticisms on here!

"I feel sorry for Jorginho, the guy is a good player and puts the effort in, and I’ve noticed a distinct drop in the team’s performance several times when he’s come off. But because of his association with Sarri he suffers extra scrutiny."

I think he's still wound up that Jorginho smashed Matic in his little poll he created, even after he switched the answers to try and make it look like Matic won

He’s played CHO more than Jose played any Chelsea youth player in any of his seasons.

Still hasn't played him enough though has he. Plus where was the CHO level youth talent when Mourinho was managing?
