Brentford 3 - 3 Derby County

Griffin Park
London
1500
6 April 2019

Apres le deluge comes the reality of actually sustaining a drive for the play-offs. The flame that has flickered roared to a full blown North Sea burn off as we scored 6 for the first time.

Mount seemed to make the difference but it is the resurgence of BJ which has intrigued me. Will it continue tomorrow or will our limitations be exposed by team which are neither here or there?

No new injury worries just the long term sick. Never mind, we have plenty to choose from and now we have sold the stadium we won't get points deducted .....Hurray!

The stats favour us with Brentford only beating us in the last eight with that disgraceful 4-0 loss in 2017. However we've only won once in the last eight at Griffin Park. Which brings us to the contra stat in which Brentford have not scored in their last four games. We have not won in London since we beat QPR in December 2016.

Which is all not very interesting.

So, where is Anya?

Just seen the Brentford 3rd goal again, why was RK on his ar5e?

-------------------------------------------------------------

Scouse...watch the pass...it wasn't aimed for the lad who scored. It was aimed at Maupay who Keogh was gonna track. He tried to change direction cos he realised the pass wasn't where it was intended. Poor pass...lucky pass. Call it what you will.

Just watched the highlights. We played some lovely stuff at times there, quick, incisive intricate passing moves. Of course it's disappointing to let a lead slip 3 times, but Brentford are a decent team and on another day we would have got a penalty or that shot that hit the post goes in and we win the game. I'm very encouraged that the clickage seems to be returning.

Just read thru 8 pages of the incident on Brentford fans page. Some were there and they reckon there was no racial comments. Apparently the Derby bench went mad when Wilson scored the 3rd with Holmes standing up banging on the dugout roof and laughing at the Brentford crowd. When they equalised the Derby bench got some back. The person held is known round that part of the ground and they say hes no way like that. "Monkey" is apparently the word supposed to be used. The person has been released on bail at 5am this morning. They are all cursing Lampard.

Of such things is history made. We played Millwall and were extremely unlucky not to win. and this one too slipped away because of a penalty that was not given and a ball hitting the wrong side of the post. Yes! Brentford were good but they had all the breaks that were going. Ant that made the difference between 3 points and 1.

The Ant That Made the Difference. I remember Nannie reading that to me. Happy Days!

Well spotted Heb. Ramdini's typo of the day. I spent too much time crawling up and down chimneys to have time for stories. It was often a warm job in winter. And bloody hot in summer.

Will Hughes is ace. Hes led Watford to an FA Cup Final. It was only 2-0 to Wolves when he went off. 2nd time hes left the Wembley pitch without his side scoring.

I wish you had stuck to your first four words.

Will played well and played a lovely pass to one of the strikers. He is a wonderful player and I hope he gets a winner's medal in May.
