My hopes for the rest of the season

Right, the automatic promotion is gone, so we've got two games to get our heads back in shape and to get ready for three more cup finals. We have all taken a battering as the prospect of the Premier League has receded, but it hasn't gone away altogether. If we can recover some self-belief in the next two games, we may well turn things around.
I think the first thing we have to do is to acknowledge the wonderful shift this team and Bielsa have put in so far. They have been magnificent. We are in the play-offs for the first time in 13 years and we have beaten every one of the teams who we will potentially be playing.
The players will be feeling as bad as we do, and then some. Not one of them has given less than 110% and their only failing is that they are the third best team in this division.
I hope that the applause that greets the team as they march out against Villa will lift them, and give them the confidence to play the way they know they can.
We are blessed to have Bielsa but we have also seen his weaknesses as a coach, especially since the New Year. This is his first season as a coach in this league and I hope he has the desire to stay for a second term to complete the job, because he will have learned a lot, and will be able to improve the team and the club, whatever division we are in,
As fans, we are dejected and angry. We are looking for the culprits, and there were plenty of them in the last two games, but remember, it was just three games ago that we were giving Sheffield Wednesday a footballing lesson. If we can rediscover that form, we have a chance of getting promoted.
There has been criticism levelled at the management team regarding the lack of transfer activity and the length of contacts some of our surplus players are on, but this is the same team that has helped to re-shape us as a Club and has done a huge amount of work to rebuild trust and solidarity with the community. Our club is better equipped to succeed than at any time in our recent past.
I would love to hear our appreciation for each of our players ringing around Elland Road next Saturday, to let them know we are behind them, and we believe in them. We are down, but we are not out. Five matches to the Premier League!

A very good article, we have had the best season in years and at times the football has been far above championship level.
We are all downhearted at the moment but we must stay behind the team whatever the play off holds.
