Edmondson?

Some of you have had a good look at him for the U23's. Is he ready to step up and put the phuckin ball in the net, because right now, we don't seem to have anyone else who can.

Struggled at the start of the season and was in danger of losing his way but has knuckled down and is getting his rewards, is still very young (though looks about 35) and last year probably came a bit quick for him so it might be best to let this season run its course though I'm sure the coaching staff will know what's best,

If no Roofe or Louganis then I’d have Roberts up front.

Worth a place on the bench at least

Roberts up front will do for me, but would prefer a fully fit Roofe to anyone.

Roberts changed the game wide left. Edmundson gets in positions for sure and can head the ball.

If Roofe isn’t fit then both should be involved.

Roberts doesn't have strikers instinct. He looks more like a 10 to me. That could change as he develops though.

At the moment in this side the best position he can play is on the left.

Edmonson would possibly give us more of a threat at set pieces, then again it doesn't matter who is in the box if the cross goes straight out of play, but he isn't at the level of Championship football yet

Two aspects of the Villa game worried me. The first is that the only goal we scored came when Villa were expecting Roberts to put the ball out of play and had switched off. The second that we played nearly half an hour against ten men who looked increasingly exhausted and we barely troubled them.
Yes, there was more urgency in our game. But there was no cutting edge. Roberts came on and made a difference. But he was fresh and Villa were wilting, and he just couldn't apply a finish. A Wood or a McCormack or a Beckford would have scored a hat-trick in that situation. Harrison, Pablo, Bamford and Klich all missed presentable chances before the goal. We have scored two goals in our last 270 minutes of football, and close to a quarter of that time was against ten men.
The only hope is that Kemar is fit and finds his shooting boots, but he has shown nothing of his old spark since his injury.
We've one practice game and three cup finals to sort this out.
