G Nev's latest rant on United

Everyone see it last night?

Can tell he's hurting. He was speaking so quickly and genuinely looks so fed up with it all now like most of us do.

Genuinely believe that if we had challenged Woodward to deliberately ruin the club 7 years ago he'd have struggled to do much worse than he's actually done anyway. He's the most useless twunt of all time and it's crazy he's still in that role. Makes sponsorship deals for breakfast. That's all he's good for though.

Crazy when you hear we've got recruitment men from the Moyes n LVG era still behind the scenes as well as others.

Too many cooks and all that jazz. Sack the bleeding lot of them and start again. Who have they even unearthed for us? Absolutely nobody. Stealing money basically.

I was under the impression that giggs was part of the deal when lvg was appointed and the big man was happy to take him on as his number 2 almost serving an apprenticeship as such. There was still an element of a long term plan about it

But fair enough if lvg said it was all him

Even with moyes there appeared to be efforts to have ex fergie players on staff and alongside a 6 year contract the expectation was in sure for a relatively seamless transition. Moyes quickly dismantling everything else fergie had in place probably wasn't in the script. Him being woefully out of his debth definitely wasn't in the script.

Jose was a departure from any long term plan given his history and I wonder how much of his appointment was solely down to Woodward.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
To be clear, LVG didn't say retaining Giggs was all his idea, but he has said that he was thinking much longer term about the development of the staff, younger players and squad than Woodward.

Which is easy to believe given who Woodward appointed next.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Given the mess the club was in at the time it needed a manager of lvgs stature and experience to come in and get it heading in the right direction. That he cared for the club and the fans was never in doubt a stark contrast to who came after him.

He completely understood the utd philosophy regarding the academy and player development and genuinely wanted to put in place the foundations for his successor which im sure he felt was going to be giggs

That he deserved to be sacked given the parameters of cl qualification there's no doubt

That he was bloody unlucky to be sacked after finishing 5th and winning an fa cup there is also no doubt

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah, an incredibly rose coloured view of life under LVG - even for your standards

What have I left out and before you answer do yourself a favour and read all my posts

You make out that he was only sacked for missing out on CL football neglecting to mention that he was being booed by fans for mind numbingly boring football and had gone backwards from an (at times) promising first season.

He was sacked for finishing outside top 4

And I did reference his dull football

Your answer to lvgs dull football really worked out. He was as bad if not worse than lvg and considering the players at his disposal I would say worse

Nah, LVgs was worse - the man in the OP, Gary Neville said the same in his rant.

It’s not even about Jose anyway - we all agree he should have been sacked. But to say that LVG was unlucky is ridiculous. If anything he was lucky to stay as long as he did after that disastrous December of 2015.

Jose's football was so bad he was telling our American based fans to stay away during last summer's pre season tour

The cant should have been sacked there and then

He was saying that the fans should not pay such high prices to watch reserve players and the organisers didn’t exactly disagree

Unless you’re happy with US fans being asked to pay extortionate prices to see the reserves?

Master motivator was Jose

What a vote of confidence to hear from your manager

Regarding that comment, Charlie Stillitano, executive chairman of the ICC’s organisers Relevent Sports, told ESPN: “I understand his point.

“He wants even his players who have personal commitments to be here. And I read into that he wants the best for the fans and the best for us and of course the best for him. He wants his full team.

“There are challenges in a World Cup year. It gets later and later, the season seem to get earlier and earlier and it’s really a challenge for everyone. I think he was just voicing that frustration.

“We are looking at changing the format next year, but it’s a bit cyclical anyway. We might tweak the format, but it’s not a World Cup year, everyone is excited to come and I don’t think we will have anything near the same problem.”

He was looking for the sack from last summer onwards

Ed should have accommodated him before the season started

We wouldn't have had to witness some of the spineless, dull affairs he served up and that our players couldn't shake off looking at these last couple of months
