Can Scott Brown be that hard...

...when he can be knocked over by a flappy forearm to the upper chest?

Plus, contact was with upper chest, so why is he clutching his face?

Plus, when he gets up, there is no blood, there is no mark....but there never is.

A yellow card was fair, and Defoe's dive was a yellow also

I seen what looked like Simunovich laying an elbow in Defoe's face earlier in the game too, not seen a hundred camera angles and hours of media time spent dissecting it though?

Did the ref see see it and book him for it? Was it in the box?

Unlike the Flanagan incident which the referee dealt with at the time, no action was taken against Simunovic at all - which is exactly why you'd expect it to merit more discussion.

We could be talking more about Defoes theatrical dive in the box too.

There was contact, not enough for it to be a foul, no foul was given. Not much to talk about really.

2 incidents not worthy of discussion.

Flanagan however got of lightly.

It wouldn't have changed the game, or the outcome, which Rangers probably deserved to win, but he should have had an early bath for his thuggery.

Simunovich is worthy of discussion because it was similar to the Flanagan incident. Either they're both yellows or they're both reds.

I genuinely don't recall the Simo/Defoe clash, so I can't comment.

Flanagan should have got more than a red, he should be in the jail. Clancy had an otherwise good game but he was too lenient, probably bottled it because it was his first OF game and didn't want to mar an otherwise decent performance with controversy.

The Simunovich one is at about 1:26 in the BBC highlights. Not saying it's worth a red and a week in the jail, but he clearly swings an elbow out at Defoe's face... Granted his face is about the height of anyone else's chest. If I'd been the ref I'd have given Flanagan and Simunovich a yellow each for the elbows, and a red each for being phannies.

I'm not reliving our abject performance so I'll pass on looking for the link if its all the same to you.

I can see why Clancy gave a yellow to Flanagan, game management imo, but had it been commited in our previous encounter it was worse than what Morelos did.
