UEFA -City Referred for disciplinary action

Anyone with a brain can see this coming from afar.
Next we will get a one year ban from the CL.

All this is a calculated attempt to damage the City brand by some powerful forces behind the scene.

The statement is no longer about breaking FFP but now about financial irregularities.

Good the club has come out with a strong statement. In the words of Churchill, "you cannot reason with a tiger when your head is in its mouth".

We can no longer trust UEFA as an unbiased referee. An independent court would most likely settle this dispute once and for all.

Maybe this is a pain we have to go through to break the cartel of G14. Only time will tell.

That kind of damage Melton isn’t worth worrying about.

Fans of other clubs and even media are pretty much impotent when spouting their opinion.

When people come out with the kind of ill-informed rubbish that they do, it doesn’t really matter at all.

None of them really care. It’s just a stick in which to have a bit of a dig. No club is immune from that, or ever will be.

Very true ripley. It would be nice to think though that if this did go to CAS and they rule there's no case to answer, then there'd be some serious backtracking by a lot of people that have already presumed guilt (even on things we've not even been charged for, going by on here). I highly doubt they will though, the reasoning will just be changed to fit the same perception.

And stretty or Se85 or Eric or whatever he's calling himself this week is your prime example.

No one should be too concerned about what's said on a football forum tbh.

Great for a bit of tribalism or winding people up now and then but the history books of the future will not be based on the rantings of annoymous people written on a niche social media site.

Give it 20, 30, 40 years when billion pound signings are made, with people talking about how that is going to ruin the game...

The narrative won’t ever change.

By the way. In 40 years time city will be back in the third tier where we have *cough* spent all of our history, while Liverpool will still be on 18 league titles but have won another 17 champions leagues, and united will have appointed the grandson of ferguson as manager, spurs still wouldn’t have signed anyone, and Arsenal will still be finishing 5th...

With Wolves the perennial premier league winners!!

You can take mancini’s Comment literally Winston, and you’d be absolutely correct to write what you have done.

But looking at it with an admittedly broad brush he does have a point. Fans do moan about the spending, the levels of investment that clubs have benefit from, while seemingly forgetting (or worse not knowing) that the club they support has investment to thank for building up its reputation and standing in the game.

It is actually a valid point to make.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

No, it’s not valid.

Plenty of people are able to discuss things objectively and without being hypocritical.

Perhaps you’re both judging fans too much on what you read on this forum.

I never meant to imply otherwise Winston. Of course there are people who can discuss things objectively.

But there are also plenty of fans who can be accused of hypocrisy.

I don’t base either of the above comments on what I’ve read on this forum.

His comment is valid in the sense that he’s not being literal with his use of the word “all”. I’m making that assumption of course, but I make that by not taking his comment literally. If he does think “all”, then I agree with you, which is what I said in my first reply to you.

I don’t think he’s being literal either.

But I do think he’s suggesting a large percentage of fans are hypocritical and I do think he’s aiming it at anyone who hasn’t defended City on this subject.

Which is a pile of crap, to be frank.

Ok, fair enough

Let's let the process conclude and go from there. If we are guilty we should wear the applicable punishment for European competition (no idea why the English FA are brought into this
givena completely different set of rules).

If we are not guilty, resume service and take the necessary legal action against any false accusations.

In the UK at least where I live, law suggests we are innocent until proven guilty with the exception of this forum.
