The Rumble At The Metropolitano

So Spurs and Liverpool go at it at Atlético Madrid’s Wanda Metropolitano Stadium on Avenida de Luis Aragonés, 4 28022 Madrid.
June 1st.
Perimeter opens 4.00pm, Stadium at 6.00pm. Arrive at the stadium early as entry will be slow due to the exhaustive security checks that will be carried out.
YUP, a good target for Catalonian separatists or other terrorists.
And forget about parking cars, coaches, motorbikes, mopeds, bicycles or scooters. Maybe they might let your motorized skateboard in with you, but I doubt it.
There are separate fan zones in the city where activities can start early.
Both Fan Zones will have activities, food, drink and music during the day of the match. The Fan Zones will close at 6pm when supporters with tickets will be expected to start making their way to the stadium and those without tickets to local bars to watch the game live.
There will be NO live screening of the match in the Fan Zones or Festival areas.

Supporters without tickets will not be short of options to watch the game live though as Madrid is a city that loves bars and loves football and there will be plenty of places to watch the game live.

The kick-off time has also been changed from 20:45 CEST to 21:00 CEST. The match will also be the first CL final to use the video assistant referee (VAR) system.

Itd be very brave to pick Kane and Winks when neither have played in a couple of months.

Both I agree, but if Kane is fit he starts mate. You don’t leave out the best striker in the world in a CL final if he’s fit. If Mo Salah was out for 2 months and was pretty much ready for the CL final, no chance would you bench him. Kane is our best player and he plays if available.

All of these are speculations. I have a feeling Poch would’ve learnt a lot from that second half at Anfield.

That was the first time I have seen a side mount few counter attacks to Liverpool and made them looked very ordinary.
They overwhelmed by Sissoko running at them. Shame Kane was injured.
He isn’t anymore. Very big plus point.
Winks has become very good player and with Sissoko form a formidable barrier.
Think Poch will produce a surprise line up at the finals.

Liverpool already think it’s going to be a walk in the park. All the media outlets are backing them.

Just like they did with Ajax at Amsterdam.

Considering if winks doesn't play, Wanyama or Dier would, I don't think it's much of a risk at all!

Kane is the big decision as Moura is quality and he would probably take his spot.

Kane is listed as "not likely to play".

I think Moura starts with Son.
Vertonghen is listed as "back in training and likely to start"
So choose your starting elevens ... on both sides!

Spurs likely starting eleven:
Lloris
KWP/Aurier, Alderwiereld, Vertonghen, Rose
Sissoko, Dier, Eriksen, DeleAlli
Moura, Son

Bench: Lamela, Wanyama, Kane, Gazzaniga, Trippier, Davies, Foyth, Llorente, Skipp

Fourth substitute is allowed in extra time. Bench can contain 12 members (if I read the rules correctly).
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You're insane if you think that kwp or aurier start ahead of Trippier.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hope springs eternal!!
I think if Trippier starts ..... we lose.

Don...TBH I've been talking to myself a lot about this match!
Its Pochettino's big chance to go out bigtime... since he's saying he's done here at Spurs.
Liverpool are obviously favorites.....
in fact I think Ajax would have had a better chance of beating Pool than we do.
But that is not to say I think we'll lose!

Winks is listed as injured and not likely to play, as is Sanchez and Kane.
That said, I hope Pool have been lulled into a false sense of security!

Winks and Kane both training but obvs. not match fit so both would be a risk.

UEFA announced a subs bench of 12 and a 4th sub available if it goes to ET.
