Eww. I feel dirty.

Anyway, Dundee have appointed their new managerial team of James McPake and Jimmy Nicholl.

McPake has had five minutes of managerial experience, and his resume consisted of 'I once scored a goal against United (please ignore the time I conceded six though)'. This was more than enough to secure the post.

Jimmy Nicholl once managed Raith Rovers and has done other stuff I suppose. Wasn't he involved with Rangers recently?

Anyway, McPake now has to use his vast experience to build a brand new team to be able to replace arguably the worst ever Scottish Premiership team that has ever existed. And he needs that team to be ready in a month or so.

Best of luck* James.

I personally think it's a dreadful appointment and only strengthens my conviction that Dundee United will gain automatic promotion this season. And yes, I'm aware this might bite me on the backside but fluck the dees etc etc.

*by best of luck i mean I hope you fail miserably.

I think they want Strachan in an 'advisory' position, whatever that means.

I'm guessing here but I suspect that Dundee would have made demands to Goodwin about who would make up his backroom staff. They obviously rate McPake and would have wanted him retained, and they may well have insisted on an experienced number 2.

All speculation of course but likely imo.

The 3rd tier beckons for Dundee, they will lose all the derbies and the kind of derbies to Arbroath

That would be a wee shame for them

A wee shame indeed
