Smallest CL Final since 2004?

It’s weird that two teams that haven’t won a major title between them for such a long time will contest the CL Final.

In addition to the clubs having little pedigree, the respective rosters also haven’t won titles at other clubs.

The two coaches are also struggling to fill the CV. Pochettino has never won anything and Klopp has lost 6 (six) straight Finals.

Liverpool have a big(ish) global fanbase, but Spurs have a domestic fanbase at best.

So is this the smallest CL Final since Porto and Monaco bored the football world back in 2004?

Baz

So, spurs or the Pool?

Pool will win, I think. They probably deserve to, after Barca. But I’d never write spurs off.

If you combine the time it's been since both clubs last won the league it's about a hundred years. Shocking

Not that shocking, considering there’s more than one team able to win it 👍

Just to remind Liverpool supporters that Spurs were attracting 110,000 to finals at the turn of the 19th century. Liverpool`s fanbase only turned up in the mid 1960s.

As this was a comment in the article written by an arsenal fan surely you would be better off reminding Arsenal supporters...………

How does that even relate to the OP? Just because Spurs have 110,000 fans in London, doesn't mean that their fanbase is anything more than domestic.

Arsenal will always be a bigger club than Spurs even if they beat the scousers today.

You’d hate to be the losing manager of this game. You’re either the man who can’t win a final or the man who can beat the man who can’t win a final
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That’s poor, even by your standards
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What’s untrue about it?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But who will criticise?
All other teams in the PL had worse seasons and didn't come close to the final bar city, and the finalists have dumped them out in the last 2 years.
To me it looks like a free roll at CL final trophy to me, which as underdogs that no one said would make it there, triggers rival fans even more
