I never expected us to pursue Grealish after they got promoted and I doubt he'd leave right now.
Don't know enough about Gomes.

Look like we’ve bid for top players but not really match their valuation or wages and come up short..
I would say we are still buying the same standard of player as 6 years ago - it’s just because of inflation it looks like we spend more.
Eg
Hutton 13 odd mil
Aurier 20 odd mil
